Performing regular preventative maintenance will help preserve your home’s value and will pay off if and when you decide to re-sell your home in the future. Below is a list of maintenance action items you be sure to complete throughout the year.

Replace furnace filters (bi-monthly during cold season)
Start Air Conditioner to keep parts from sticking
Clean sink traps
Caulk and seal joints in bathrooms to prevent leaks
Vacuum tracks and lubricate hinges on all doors and gates
Test GFI circuits (monthly)
Clean tracks and weep holes of windows and caulk
Place ice in garbage disposal to clean & sharpen (monthly)
Check rain gutters and drainage to ensure water flows freely
Pest control service
Clean and flush rain gutters
Have a professional inspect roof for damaged or loose tiles & repair any leaks
Have heating and cooling system serviced
Clean window tracks and screens
Clean clothes dryer duct of lint
Clean sink traps
Test GFI circuits (monthly)
Place ice in garbage disposal to clean & sharpen (monthly)
Vacuum smoke detectors, change batteries
Check sprinklers for proper coverage and that heads are not clogged
