Now that you and your family have settled in, there are a couple of things that may be of assistance to you in the coming years. Topics include your warranty, move-in checklist, who our service team is, how to contact us, frequently asked questions, terms, what to do in an emergency, maintenance tips, and how to submit a warranty request. ABOUT YOUR WARRANTY

FCB Homes stands behind their workmanship. Owning an FCB home ensures you a timely response to your warranty requests. Please review the following summary below to learn more about the warranty process before submitting a warranty request. Please see the "what your warranty includes" section below for more information on what your warranty covers.

WHAT YOUR WARRANTY INCLUDES

Scheduled Check-Ups in the First Year

At FCB Homes we want you to rest easy knowing we will be back to check-up on you and your home at least three times in your first year of ownership. The goal of these check-ups is to ensure:

  1. All major systems in your home are functioning properly.
  2. Your warranty needs are met, and,
  3. To educate you about your new home and the necessary maintenance required to keep your home looking as beautiful as the day you moved in.

Appointments for your check-ups will be set at approximately: 30 days, 90 days, and 11 months with your Customer Care Coordinator.

Other Service Items

In addition to scheduled check-ups we realize that other items of concern may come up from time to time that may need immediate attention. These items can be handled by submitting a Warranty Request to the Customer Care Department. Warranty requests should only be scheduled for service items that need to be addressed prior to a regularly scheduled check-up. You, or your authorized representative must be present to provide access to the home for this type of appointment. To submit a request please click on Warranty Request above and an FCB Homes representative will contact you within 48 hours of your submission. Appointments can be made Monday- Friday 7:30 am to 3:30 pm.

Emergency Service

WARRANTIES WITH YOUR NEW FCB HOME

While we strive to build a defect-free home, we know that sometimes products don't always perform as they are intended to and that mistakes can be made. When either occurs, we will make the necessary corrections. Your new FCB home has a One Year Fit and Finish Warranty, an Enhanced Protection Agreement and a 2-10 Home Buyers Warranty. These documents were provided to you at contract when you purchased your home. Below, is a brief outline of each:

One year Fit and Finish Warranty
Your one-year fit and finish warranty was provided to you as part of your purchase agreement in your informational binder. It describes your rights and obligations as a homeowner in connection with the quality of specific materials and workmanship used to construct your home. This warranty covers original materials or workmanship as of the date of your close of escrow and continues for one year thereafter, unless otherwise noted.

Manufacturers Warranties
Many manufactured items in your FCB Home may be warranted for more than one year. Examples of such items may be: your windows, front door hardware, faucets, etc. (warranty, manufacturers and timelines for coverage may vary from home to home). In order to have a manufactured item repaired please contact the manufacturer directly. If a manufacturer is not on the list below please feel free to call us and we will help you with getting you the information you need or inspecting the item, free of charge you are concerned about.

The one year warranty does not include:
Normal wear and tear, exposure to elements, causes beyond FCB Homes control like: acts of God, lack of homeowner maintenance, animals (wild, insects, pest or vermin), improvements made by homeowners, dampness or condensation caused by failure to maintain ventilation, natural variations in color, texture, thickness grain and shade on wood cabinets, floors and trim, changes in grading, homeowners failure to give prompt notice of an issue. This is a short list of common claims, for the entire document please consult your new home purchase contract.

Enhanced Protection Agreement
Along with your one-year fit and finish warranty FCB Homes provides an Enhanced Protection Agreement that provides standards for the installation and construction for the systems in your new home. This is a brief description of this agreement, for the entire document please consult your new home purchase contract.

2-10 HBW Asset Protection Plan
FCB Homes is enrolled in the 2-10 HBW Asset Protection Program. This program runs in conjunction with your other warranties. All claims should be made through FCB Homes Customer Care Department. If further action needs to be taken after contacting us, a notice of action can be filed also with 2-10.

2-10 also allows you to extend your one-year fit and finish warranty on certain items from 13 months to up to five years. After the 13 month period, claims for these items need to be made to 2-10 directly by calling 888-210-9225 or visiting the 2-10 website at www.2-10.com.
